Our Business
Renewable Energy
Jentayu Sustainables Berhad is in the process of putting our entire corporate focus into the renewable energy sector.
In 2024, we have two main areas of focus.
The first is the injection into Jentayu of the 40 MW Telekosang Hydro projects in Tenom, Sabah, as well as a 5.99 MW solar project in Pokok Sena, Kedah – both of which were developed by related parties. This injection is subject to approval by regulators and shareholders.
Our second focus area is the development of the 170 MW Project Oriole hydropower project in Sipitang, Sabah, to be built using the same formula and approach as Telekosang Hydro. This project involves a development cost of RM 2.8 billion, and is slated to be completed by the end of 2027.
We also played the Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning (EPCC) role in the development of a 100 MW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) plant in Marang, Terengganu, and developed a 0.5 MW self-consumption (SELCO) solar power project for an industrial client. We are also currently developing a 1.4 MW solar power project for a dairy farm in Rompin, Pahang.
