Key Responsibility
Group HR Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute Group HR strategy aligned with JSB’s business direction.
- Advise the GMD and Board on workforce planning, succession, and talent risks.
- Drive cultural transformation, performance discipline, and leadership capability.
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and organisational effectiveness initiatives.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Establish Group HR governance frameworks and controls.
- Ensure payroll continuity and risk mitigation across all entities.
- Enforce segregation of duties and business continuity planning for HR.
- Oversee compliance with labour laws, regulations, and audit requirements.
- Present HR risk, manpower, and cost reports to Management and Board.
Oversight of HR Operations
- Provide oversight of payroll, recruitment, employee administration, and policy execution.
- Ensure consistency of HR practices across all divisions and subsidiaries.
- Supervise HR leadership and operational teams, including VP II HR.
- Manage sensitive HR cases, terminations, and senior appointments.
Talent Management & Succession Planning
- Lead Group-wide performance management frameworks.
- Oversee leadership development and succession planning.
- Review remuneration frameworks, benefits structures, and incentives.
- Ensure critical roles have identified successors.
Policy, Structure & Organisation Design
- Approve and govern HR policies and SOPs.
- Lead organisational design, right-sizing, and restructuring initiatives.
- Ensure job architecture and grading consistency across the Group.
Subsidiary & Stakeholder Management
- Provide strategic HR oversight to subsidiaries including Ohana.
- Align subsidiary HR structures to Group governance requirements.
- Interface with Chairman, GMD, Board Committees, and external advisors.
Staff Engagement & Culture
- Set Group-wide engagement strategy and communication tone.
- Oversee major staff engagement and town hall initiatives.
- Act as an escalation point for complex employee relations matters.
Education
Necessary qualification:
- Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relation, Business Administration, Law (strong HR/IR exposure).
Desirable qualification:
- Master’s Degree (MBA, MHRM, or equivalent), Professional HR certifications, e.g.SHRM.
Knowledge
Strong working knowledge of:
- Malaysian Employment Act 1955 and related labour legislation.
- Industrial Relations Act 1967.
- Statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS).
End-to-end HR knowledge covering:
- Recruitment and workforce planning.
- Performance management.
- Employee discipline and misconduct handling.
- Compensation and benefits governance.
- Understanding of HR governance, policies, SOPs and internal controls.
HR analytics and workforce data interpretation.
Culture transformation and engagement frameworks.
HR risks in regulated industries (energy, healthcare).
Exposure to:
- Board-level HR reporting.
- HR aspects of mergers, acquisitions or project-based organisations.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience.
At least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role managing full-spectrum HR functions.
Proven experience in:
Managing disciplinary cases, domestic inquiries and terminations.
Implementing HR policies across multiple departments or business units.
Advising senior management on sensitive people matters.
Experience in:
Multi-entity or group structures.
Start-up, turnaround or transformation environments.
Project-based or asset-heavy industries (energy, construction, healthcare).
Prior exposure to:
Organisational restructuring or right-sizing exercises.
Regional or geographically dispersed workforce management.

- Manage and organise incoming correspondence including emails and phone calls.
- Greet, assist, and attend to visitors, clients and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate communication and information flow between departments.
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments and organise meetings.
- Plan and coordinate full travel arrangements, including flights, accommodation, transportation, visas and other logistics.
Administrative Support:
- Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support.
- Organise and maintain files, records and documents (both digital and physical).
- Maintain an efficient filing and documentation system.

Job qualifications:

Job Purpose: To support the organization’s legal function by drafting, reviewing, and managing standard commercial agreements, including tenancy and non-disclosure agreements, while providing clear, practical legal opinions on routine business matters. The role ensures legal risk is minimized and compliance with applicable laws and corporate governance standards is maintained.
Key Responsibility
Contract Drafting & Review
- Draft, review, and negotiate standard legal agreements, including:
- Tenancy / Lease Agreements (commercial & residential)
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Service Agreements
- Vendor / Supplier Agreements
- Basic Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
- Ensure contracts are aligned with company policies, regulatory requirements, and risk tolerance.
- Customize templates based on business needs while maintaining legal safeguards.
Legal Advisory & Opinions
- Provide practical and business-oriented legal opinions on:
- Contractual rights and obligations
- Risk exposure in commercial arrangements
- Interpretation of laws and regulations affecting operations
- Support internal stakeholders (HR, procurement, finance, operations) with timely legal advice.
- Simplify complex legal concepts into actionable recommendations.
Regulatory & Compliance Support Ensure compliance with:
- Corporate laws applicable to listed entities

Contract Management

Documentation & Governance Assist in preparing :
- Board or committee papers (where required)

Education
- Bachelor in Law
Knowledge
- The Legal Executive is responsible for providing legal and corporate secretarial support to the Group, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements in Malaysia.
- This role supports both the holding company and its subsidiaries, with a focus on renewable energy and trading operations.
- The Legal Executive will assist in board governance matters, regulatory filings and contract management.

- Responsible for building and strengthening in-house capabilities, while effectively managing key vendor relationships to support critical systems and infrastructure.
Qualification:
- Degree in Information Technology
- Certified Data Safety Officer is an added advantage.
Knowledge
- Establish and enforce IT governance, policies, and standard operating procedures, including cybersecurity, data protection, backup, and disaster recovery frameworks.
Experience
- 8-10 years of experience in managing IT team.
- Oversee the management, enhancement, and support of core systems, including SAP Business One (SAP B1), Microsoft O365, SharePoint, HR2000, Hospital Information System (HIS), ensuring system reliability, performance, and alignment with business requirements.
- Manage end-to-end IT infrastructure (network, hardware, and software) to ensure high availability, scalability, and operational continuity across all locations.
- Lead ERP transformation initiatives, including planning and execution of system migration from SAP B1 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Personal characteristics
- Ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations, including system outages, cybersecurity incidents, and operational disruptions.
